ADDING WIDGETS ETC:

If you would like to add a lot of things to your profile, as we realize that some people do (slideshows, videos to be seen on front page, widgets etc.), then you should create a 'MUSIC SUPPORTER' profile, but if you are a musician and want your artform heard, and videos seen, then you should keep in mind that you should set up an 'ARTIST' profile, but with the 'ARTIST' profile, you can add those things in your BIO section. We will allow for you to set up both type pages, as long as our Terms of Services are complied with.

ARTISTS all of your videos that you upload will be placed in your 'Video' tab section, if there is a specific video that you would like to add to your page, then you must upload it (own rights to it, please see our Terms of Service), and then add it to your profile from video section, for the video to show on the very front homepage. When uploading a video, you can either upload the video, or you can submit the code from other places, just choose desired button...your choices will be 'file' or 'code.'

MUSIC SUPPORTERS you can add videos to your profile by clicking 'Add Video to Profile' from the video section.

CHANGING PROFILE BACKGROUND LOOK--MAKE UR PROFILE YOUR OWN:

You can use any profile editor that is out--though we list the ones that work really well with this site, at the bottom, to change your background look in the place where it says 'Change Profile Background (Using Profile Editor).' If you do a search through any of the reputable search engines. You must use a profile editor, so that it can automatically convert to HTML and CSS for you, otherwise you will distort the look of your page. **IF YOU ARE LOOKING TO ADD YOUR BIOGRAPHY BACKGROUND, THAT IS SOMETHING DIFFERENT, AND YOU WANT TO SELECT 'ADD BIO.' If you find that you have added your biography in the wrong place, and your page has distorted, then all you have to do is remove the information that you have added into that section, and it will return your page back to normal.

Because we have a clean tab layout, please make sure that any profile editor that you use, that you add a color to your table background, so that your tables will have color. One of the profile editors that we have found that works really well with this layout, when we add color or image to background is; http://www.mygen.co.uk/. We are in no way endorsing this website, but have found it to work well with our layout, though others will work as long as you add color to your tables.

Take advantage of some of the cool features, and make sure to hook your background up (we started out plain, so that you may customize it)—here are a few profile editors that work well with our layout/system; http://www.mygen.co.uk/ (for musician profiles) and http://www.freepagegraphics.com/custommyspacelayout.php (for music supporter profiles or musician profiles). If you want a template that is already created, then you should try http://www.freeweblayouts.net/go.php?id=layouts . Please keep in mind to color in your table, for the profiles that are not templates, as that gives the page a cool look. If it is a musician profile, all you have to do is drop the generated code into ‘Change Profile Background.’ If you have music supporter profile, then all that you have to do is add the generated code in ‘Interests.’ More profile editor listings will be added as we test them.

YOUR CHAT ROOM:

There are two types of chat rooms; public and private, if you would like to chat privately with your grinders, then create a group name, and make sure that they each get the name of the chat room that you have created, and all of your grinders will be able to chat with you real time, directly from your page or theirs (example: grindnow, would be the name of a room, so all of your grinders would need to be given this name to enter into that room). If you go into a PUBLIC chat room, everyone will be able to read your conversation, and never give out any personal information.

MUSICIAN PROFILES (ADDING YOUR SONGS):

When you first start out on grindmodeconnect.com, you will see that everyone has a radio player on their page, which is for our radio station, but, if you add songs to your page, it will convert to your radio player (your songs only). Please add the songs in the order of the song that you want autoplaying first, and your last song that you want to play last, at the end. **JUST ADDED*** You may set your default song that you want to autoplay first.

Which profile-type should I set up?

1. If you are an artist, DJ, producer, label rep, publicist and promoter, then you should set up the profiles corresponding to your title—these are musician based profiles.

2. If you are a person who is just in ‘Grind Mode’ and love music just looking for a place to vibe with other grinders, while connecting with your favorite artist or music professional, then the music supporter profile is for you.

Musician Profile Questions (Including DJs, producers, label reps, publicists and promoters):

1. How do I appear in Who Got Nexx Up, Mane?

For inquiries on appearing in the Who Got Nexx Up, Mane? section on the homepage, please contact us at wgnum@grindmodeconnect.com or advertising@grindmodeconnect.com. Another way to be featured is to enter into the 'Battle Ground' Contest and be selected as a winner.

2. What is Battle Ground & how do I enter the contest?

Keeping in our over the years efforts of supporting underground artists, Battle Ground is the section where we feature video battles of some of today’s underground talent—this is a bi-weekly contest set up just with the underground in mind, for them to showcase their skills, and for their friends, family and people on this site and Internet, to vote for who they think is the best. They will have the opportunity to upload their videos here on Grindmodeconnect.com and can place their video on any website that excepts code, but all battles must be in video format. Contestants will be voted on by their peers, but Grindmodeconnect.com staff will have final say in some cases. THIS IS THE WAY TO GET FEATURED IN GRIND MODE MAGAZINE! VIDEOS DO NOT HAVE TO BE PROFESSIONAL, JUST UPLOAD YOUR ILLEST!

3. How do I upload my songs or delete them?

Upload the songs in the order that you would like for them to play first, so you would upload the song that you want to play first, last. You get the opportunity to upload 6 songs at a time, and all can be managed in your backend panel where you will see the ‘add songs to player’ option, there you will be able to upload your songs, by clicking on ‘add a song.’

To delete a song in the list, simply click on ‘delete.’

4. How do I submit CDs, Mix CDs, singles for Grind Reviews?

Please send your CDs for consideration to P.O. Box 482, Clayton, NJ 08312, Attn: Grind Mode Media, LLC or send them to Flat 2, Hartington Court, Hartington Grove, Cambridge CB1, 7TZ, England. If you would like to send your album via e-mail in Mp3, please make sure that it is ‘zipped’ and send it to grindmodemusic@gmail.com. Please know that there is no guarantee that a CD review will be rendered. At present, we will be checking out profiles that are sent to us to view, and selecting artists to review this way, as well.

5. How do I change my background?

In ‘Interest & Personality,' look for ‘change background,‘ then click ‘edit’ and drop the code in, and that’s it…preview it, and you’re done. You can add code from any of the profile editor sites that generate background codes—the same ones used on other social networking websites. Do a search and numerous profile editor sites will come up.

6. How do I add photo slideshows/other content similar to slideshows?

On the musician based profiles, you can add photo slide shows to your bio section--please know that inline frames will automatically be inserted, if a picture or product is too big (this is for your convenience, so that your layout does not get distorted. We would suggests that before you add those things, that you put your biography up first), as well as other content like slideshows. This all can be done in the ‘Add/Edit a Bio.’ Please know that because of the ‘clean’ tabbed layout, it may distort the way that your page displays, based upon the size of the content that you add to this section. This is why we allow for musicians/artists to create a music supporter profile, too.

7. Where do I set up my individual forum?

In the ‘Edit Profile’ section of your backend panel, you will see ‘forum,’ there you can begin to add your forum categories and sub-categories. This is cool for those people who like to Interact beyond simply posting comments, and want to keep everything on their page. Though, you can respond to your grinders on your page, by clicking the 'respond' link.

8. Where do I add my videos that are from websites like YouTube & from this website?

Understanding that artist like to add videos to their profiles/communities, we have made it easy for you to maintain them under your video tab. We suggest that you upload your video right here on Grindmodeconnect.com, as it is embeddable on all other social networking website. Once you upload your video by using the ‘video’ navigation button, you will come to the section where it states ‘upload,’ there you can upload your videos or the code, and your videos will appear. If there are problems converting from MPEG to FLV formats, you may have to manually convert your video, though this would rarely ever occurs.

Non-Musician—Music Supporter Profile Questions:

1. How do I add an artist song to my profile?

You can do this from the artists’ page, simply click add and that song will add to your profile, you will see the words 'Delete Song,' and that is how you will be able to delete that particular song.

2. How can I change background, add pictures and HTML/CSS content?

You can add code from any of the profile editor sites that generate background codes—the same ones used on other social networking websites. Do a search and numerous profile editor sites will come up. You can also add slideshows from the different sites like photobucket.com to your profile. You can add these in your about section (recommended for your background change) or pretty much any section that is in the ‘Interest & Personality’ section from the ‘Edit Profile’ selection in the backend panel.

3. How do I upload my own videos & is the Grind Mode Connect TV player embeddable elsewhere?

Select ‘video’ from the navigational bar and there you will see where it says ‘upload’ videos, or you may add someone else’s video to your profile, by searching through the video section. Yes, our player is embeddable on all social networking sites, so you may upload your video here, and take the link elsewhere.

4. What will get me banned from Grindmodeconnect.com?

To put it bluntly, being ‘ignorant’ will get you banned from Grindmodeconnect.com. We would hope that everyone here has something positive to contribute to the website, as it is truly a place to network and be about your business—definitely not everything will be business, but we do ask that everything be tactful. No offending others, no nudity and respect everyone’s privacy (please see our privacy section). We have zero tolerance for ignorance, pornography, and if you are under 15 year's old, your profile will automatically be made private, and you must have consent from your guardian to be on this website. You respect us, our grinders and we will respect you. We will never ban you for no reason, as long as you adhere to our Terms of Service. We are in the business of empowering and uplifiting, and not tearing down, and feel that collectively, everyone has a chance at being great, productive citizens.

Group home page contains all main categories of groups. When user click on category link all groups under that category will be displaying.

User can join in any group by clicking on join link at front of group name.

User can be able to view group details by clicking on group name link. Group detail page have details of group with list of topics on this group.

On group details page have following functions:

a. Join: User can become a member of group if he clicks on join button.

b. Post Topic: User can post a topic by clicks on Post Topic button.

c. View Group Photo: User can view all photo of group by clicks on view group photo link (bottom of group image). If user is owner of group he is able to edit group profile.

d. View all member of group: User can be able to view all member of group by using this link.
