Having been AWOL due to label troubles for 5 years, Archie Eversole has seen others take spots in the game.  However, looking to take up where he left off he has dropped his mixtape, 'Back Like I Never Left.'  The Atlanta native comes hard with some help from DJ Scream and guests including Mike Jones, C-Da-G, Legacy, Ray Lavender and Tydis.  With hard gunplay tracks like 'Goons' and 'Gangsta Sh*t,' Archie Eversole drops fire while also speaking on his own situations in the music game on some surprisingly candid interludes.  Archie Eversole is keen to show that he has moved with the times while on his hiatus as he delivers some radio-ready fire, such as the booming 'How You Like Me Now.'  While his lyricism tends to stay along the lines of money, women, cars, drugs, clubs and guns, it is a formula that has seen many names from his hometown gain success in his absence.  'I'm Back' announces Eversole's return with some real swagger while elsewhere 'What Money Sounds Like' sees Archie Eversole flossing over Needlz' production.  Other production duties are handled by The Olympiks, Beat Freakz, Fuego, The Trak Starz and the impressive B-Shirl.  Fans of T.I.'s brand of Southern flavored hip-hop will feel the bass-heavy, rolling, 'I'm Ready,' while Archie allows matters to mellow down on 'Block Hustle (We Eating).'  The club-aimed 'Drip Drop' somewhat underplays Eversole's skills with it's standard fare lyricism and 'Digital' sees Eversole employ an autotune twist to offer some commercial flavor.  The radio-ready 'Make Me Say' follows as Archie Eversole plays guest on the fine Tydis tune before an interlude leads to Eversole retaking the reins on the single, 'Keep Winning.'  Archie Eversole finishes up with the heartfelt 'R.I.P.' as he channels Jay-Z and looks set to claim a spot alongside T.I. with his strong Atlanta style.  With an undeniable ability on the mic and some solid tracks to match, Archie Eversole is surely looking to make up for lost time, and this mixtape is a good re-introduction to the game.  Archie Eversole is certainly a talented MC who deserves his spot amongst Atlanta's rhyme spitting fraternity, here's hoping that he can swiftly follow up with something official, where he can expand his lyrical focus even further.
